Just a quick question, I live in Brooklyn (a 30 minute train ride away from nyu) and I don't plan on applying for housing. I am however applying for many scholarships that will provide full rides. If by some miraculous crazy chance, I get one of these scholarships, I would like to dorm at NYU because I mean c'mon. Union Square? Living in that area is definitely a huge part of the NYU experience, and I'd like to get the most I can out if I get into NYU (a lot of "ifs", I know)

So basically, should I say I want housing now, and then later refuse it? Or say I don't want housing now and then request for it later? Will it be too late if I request for it after I find out about the scholarships?

Please, don't respond saying that I'm greedy or that I don't have to apply for housing because I live so close. I'm sure you would be curious too if you were in my position.

Thanks! :)
