<p>Is anyone else out there applying for Park Scholars? What do you think it takes to get selected as a finalist...I can't wait to find out but March 1 seems like such a long time away...</p>
<p>I would have applied, but unfortunately the deadline was two weeks ago. Sucks that I just found out a couple of days ago that you had to apply seperately to it. It was such an easy application too!</p>
<p>I'm a sophomore journalism major who didn't get it when I applied. I wasn't even a finalist, probably because I had like no community service (and I mean like non save maybe a couple hours). If you have a good gpa, at least a 1300+ SAT, and lot of community service, I'd say you have a good shot. Community service is big with though.</p>
<p>I don't have a "LOT" of community service...I have some though...and am trying to do more...as much as I can. Hmmm...</p>
<p>Two questions:</p>
<p>If you don't have 1300 on SATs, are you automatically out? Or have they updated to a new score limit with the 2400 thing?</p>
<p>Also, what's a lot of community service?</p>
<p>I have somewhere between 250-300 hours.</p>
