i'm currently a senior computer science major at cal poly pomona. i chose this school over UCI and UCSD for financial reasons, and i am really starting to regret it. how much will the lower-tier label of CPP hurt my chances of getting into a good graduate program?

my GPA is not great, but it's decent. it's between a 3.5 and 3.6, and will end a 3.6 if i bust my butt these last few quarters. as for my GRE, i haven't taken it yet.

do i have a realistic shot at a decent grad school for CS? i'm looking at UCI, UCSD, UCLA, and USC.

As I understand, they're likely to look more at things like the subject and general GRE to even your application out with the other applicants'
It may hurt you in terms of connections, but academics-wise it probably won't hurt too badly if your GREs are strong
As for your actual chances, I don't know the competitiveness of CS, so I can't really answer that. A lot will depend on how well you took advantage of Cal Poly's opportunities. Were you a "big fish in a little pond" or were you just a good student there?

Cal Poly isn't poorly viewed in California. The great thing about state schools is that there is usually a certain amount of state pride vested in them (be it conscious or unconscious), so that even if you didn't attend UCI, Berkeley, or UCLA peps in California will still be feeling your Cal Poly degree.

As far as grad aps go, dont worry. There are a handful of graduate programs in the US were UG prestige is important, CS in Socal is not one of them.
