I live in illinois

Compare UW and UIUC in terms of total cost. I think UW has a slight edge overall, but not enough for you to choose it if it costs, say, $10k more per annum than Illinois.

Of those schools listed, UW and Illinois are the best… both in your interests and overall. I’d put IU third.

You’ll get into all three, so I’d visit them all first before deciding.

Yeah UW and UIUC are what my parents worry about finacially. In state at illinois is still pretty expensive and i heard both UW and UIUC really dont give money

If money is important, have you thought about applying to some top area liberal arts schools? They tend to give excellent financial aid. Might be worth taking a shot at Grinnell, Carleton, Macalester, Beloit, Lawrence, Earlham and St. Olaf.

My counselor asked me and when i told her what I was looking for in which schools I’d pick, the liberal arts once just aren’t what I’m looking for

The state schools are going to give less aid, generally. If you need aid, I’d reconsider the liberal arts schools.

Maybe add area universities like Marquette and DePaul – private schools (universities, not LACs) that might give you strong aid.

And Loyola U Chicago.

I’ve considered Marquette and Loyola a little bit, what we get financially isn’t the biggest deal to me or my mom. I really would like to attend a bigger public university that has good studies like the schools I listed
