I'm applying RD and have already sent in everything but my SAT/ACT scores. I'm still waiting on my SAT II scores and may retake them in December. If I just send in the ACT scores that I have now, is there a chance that WashU will review my application and get back to me before the official day that they're supposed to release decisions?

Simply put, no. Unless you are an academic superstar (36 ACT, 4.0 UW, high Siemens competition placement, a big hook, a bazillion service hours), sometimes schools send out “non-athletic” likely letters to the top 100-200 applicants at RD. I doubt WashU does this. (its usually only the Ivies + Standford etc. to my knowledge).

I will have to go against the previous post. If you apply for scholarships and receive one or more, then you will get a scholarship congratulations letter from WashU approx. 2 weeks before they release the decisions. This letter is basically an informal acceptance, of which you will get the official one 2 weeks later like everyone else.

You’re both right. You can receive two weeks early notification for scholarships; however, you will not receive early notification simply for submitting materials extremely early.
