Applying Reg. Decision to JHU

I think that the regular decision deadline at JHU is January 1st (correct me if I'm mistaken), and I might be applying for it but I want to know if it matters when I send my application in, as long as it's before the deadline. Thanks!

No, it doesn't matter. All RD decisions are issued at once. It really only matters at schools (e.g., Michigan) which have rolling admissions.

bonanza is correct ... we review regular decision applications submitted in sept., oct., and nov. exactly like we review applications submitted at 11:59pm on December 31st.

The Regular Decision deadline is January 1st but we advise not waiting to the last minute to submit your application ... you never know what might happen.

Thanks to both of you. I knew the answer, but a friend recently told me that I might not want to wait within a few days of the deadline to send my app in, so just to be sure it wouldn't be wise, I posted my question here. I'll most likely be sending my apps out as soon as I get my first report for senior year HS (long story...), which should be before December 5th (educated guess).

While you shouldn't wait until the deadline, you might want to hold on to them for a bit just to check them over, and update it if something happens. I submitted my application December 25 when I applied, and I had no problems.
