I am curious if applying to business schools for undergrad as a female gives you an advantage in admissions over males… I couldn’t find statistics online, but I assume that a lot more males apply to business major than women.
Though I have not fully studied the issue, reports I recall seeing in the last few years did not indicate that far more men apply for business majors than women. I recall a couple of articles mentioning that women were in the mid to high 40% range of those pursuing and graduating with business-related bachelors degrees. In any event, I am unaware of colleges providing a favorable under-represented minority (URM) factor for women applying for college business programs like a lot of colleges do for engineering
I don’t think being female is going to give you any advantage in this field. Perhaps in engineering or computer science, but the gap is narrowing even in those fields, and slightly more females attend college than males overall.
