business for a girl?

I was just curious as to whether or not it would increase an applicant's chances at Wharton if they were female. And, if so, by how much? I recognize it is highly competitive, but aren't they also encouraging more female applicants for their demographics, since the majority of business majors are male?

There is a slight advantage, but its nowhere near as important as race or other intangibles.

I actually don’t think so. Think about those Asian girls that also want to go to Wharton (from what I have experienced). It’s pretty popular and I don’t think it will make your application at all, or come close to it. Sorry. I mean they know business is a male dominate field but they know that it doesn’t mean that they should reject a male and accept a female just because the female is well a female. They care way more about academic and EC success than about gender.
