Applying to Cal Poly SLO - what careers with chem major?

<p>I'm going to apply to Cal Poly SLO, but I need to choose a major. I'm thinking about choosing Chemistry as my major. What types of careers can I get with a major in chem? I was thinking about pharmacueticals. What is necessary to get into the pharmacuetical field? Grad school? Med school? </p>

<p>I was told by one of my parents' friends that a major in Chem and a minor in computer science would be a really good combination. What types of careers are there with this combination?</p>

<p>why not engineering or architecture if you want to go to slo.</p>
