applying to med. schools

P_reepa, I wasn't mad at you for not understand the concept of a mean, I just get upset when people accuse average people of being dumb. I know so many students who are actually above average and put themselves in honors classes or a very competitive major, and then feel dumb for all of high school and college. It makes me very sad to see people get so down on themselves just because they are not "the" smartest, which is why it made me mad to see someone acting like a 24 on the MCAT was just pathetic. Completing the coursework to take the MCAT is an achievement in itself.

VR is tough b/c you've had so much science in college. Scores are lower because students don't see anything to "study", and are more worried about whether they know all the science or not so VR gets pushed to the bottom of study priorities.

What I was trying to get around was p reepa saying that he couldn't sample an MCAT b/c he didn't know the science. Taking the VR would have still been tough for him, and thus, hopefully, shown him how difficult the MCAT is.

The link below is for 2005 MCAT score distribution.

what i meant to say was that it seemed odd to me that the scores were so low given that science courses cover all the material one needs to know. anyway, it's all cleared up now. sorry about the misinterpretation VO. and thanks for everyone's input.
