Applying to U.S. universities with A-Levels?

I was supposed to be done with my A-Levels (AS and A2 together) in the May/June 2015 session but I couldn’t sit them due to extenuating circumstances. I still want to apply to universities this December, however, and since I don’t currently have any A Level grades or predicted grades at all, to remedy this I’ll be sitting 2 A-Levels this October/November. I was wondering if I’ll be able to apply to American colleges solely based on 2 A-Levels? I’ve heard that at least 3 are mandatory for most places.

Of course, I’ll be sitting 3 more A Levels but that’ll be in 2016, and I probably won’t have predicted grades available beforehand. Would it help if I added a note when applying specifying the nature of the circumstances and the fact that I have 3 exams left?

Why no predicted grades, if you would have taken the exams this year?

@Conformist1688 Predicted grades are based off AS grades, and I was supposed to sit AS and A2 together in one year, AKA this year. Which I missed.

Could your teachers not give an informal prediction based on course work?

It’s okay, just have your school submit the predicted grades for your October/November session. Colleges will understand and will accept them. Alternatively you could just submit internal reports from your school; American colleges care a lot more about the progress report than the final exams.

How are you taking exams in October and November? How are you taking all the AS and A2 exams together then? What did you study in Year 12?
