Applying to University of Washington, need some help?

I live in Pennsylvania and I'm applying to University of Washington. It asks me if i am or am going to be a running start participant, what does that mean?

It also asks
Have you ever been or do you expect to be a participant in College in the High School or any other college enrollment program?

Would be lovely if anyone could help out! thanks

Running start and college in the high school are programs in Washington state where juniors and seniors enroll in community college or four year college courses for dual credit. Most running start is taught at community college, most college in high school taught in high school by high school teachers.

Will you have college credit and a college transcript (excluding credits that transfer from AP exams & credits earned by actually attending a local CC)?
If your answer is “no” then it’s going to be a “no” for both of the questions.

By actually attending, I meant that your college credits should not have anything to do with your high school enrollment (grades/credit transfers/dual enrollment).

The above posters are correct–Running Start and College in the High School are programs in Washington state (and Hawaii, IIRC).

Are you a dual enrollment student at a CC by chance? If not, then I would mark no for both, as I don’t think PA has these. Best of luck!
