Applying to US and England

hello :)

I'm a high school junior living in Canada, but I'm planning to apply to the states and England... and I'm so lost.

My intended major is sociology (and if the school has a journalism program, double major).

I took my SAT I (2120 superscore) and by November I will have taken 3 subject tests (Math II (740), Literature (did it today), and Korean).
I have no idea how to convert my average to 4.0 scale, but it's around 93-95.
I have OK ECs: yearbook photographer (gr 9-10), head of photography (gr 11); school newspaper/magazine editor and founding member; jazz band (gr 9-11, and next year for sure); glee club founding member and pianist.

Going to the states, I'm less worried about it because there's plenty of information about it online (although my guidance isn't the most helpful). I'm thinking of applying to Stanford, USC, Emory, Boston C, Boston U, and Wesleyan.

And I want to apply to U of Cambridge as well. Apparently, as a student from Ontario, all I need is 85+ average. And Cambridge has an excellent sociology program! So I thought, well, maybe I stand a chance, so I decided to apply... but I really don't know if that's REALLY, ACTUALLY all they want. And they don't really mention anything about ECs... so I'm confused.

I have NO IDEA how to do this... my school only sent a few students to the states in the past, and I don't know if it's ever sent anyone to England.

Please help me with the process of applying and what I'll need to do in order to make myself a stronger applicant... thank you :)

First, do you have any finanial contstraints or can you afford all of these schools? Do you plan to retake the SAT? Where do you rank in your class?

No financial constraints, esp. to Cambridge (turns out to be a lot cheaper than US schools!)

I do plan to retake SAT I to raise it up to 2200+.

My school doesn’t rank :frowning: but I’m sure I’m in top 10 - if not top 5 students.

bump

please help :(
