Applying Undecided and Switching Major to Engineering

Hi, so I'm a junior and I am interested in majoring in engineering or computer science. Those are pretty competitive programs, so I was wondering if it's better to apply to colleges undecided and then once I get in, just switch to engineering. Would it become harder to get into the engineering program or easier? The colleges I'm looking at are Virginia Tech, UVA, GMU, JMU, UMD, and William and Mary.

It depends on the school. They vary in difficulty to transfer into Eng or CS

Okay. Do you know the specifics of any college in particular?

This might be tedious but each of the schools you 've listed has its own forum here on CC. Maybe post on them? Good luck – I wish I could help more.

Alright, I might do that. Thanks for your help!

If anyone has information about these specific colleges, please let me know.
