ApplyTexas Essay Too Long?

I understand that the ApplyTexas essay limit is 120 80 character lines. Yet I want to know if there is a specific word limit set by the UT campus. I couldn’t find such information anywhere. My essay C is finished and about 117 lines. In those 117 lines I am concretely staying on topic, at least I think so and so do my peers. Yet I am worried that it is too long. Do colleges, especially UT, hate long essays? I really put a lot of time and thought into mine and it is very difficult for me to cut something out since I think all of it together highlights my future and current goals. Has anyone else submitted or plans to submit an essay so close to the limit? Is it really a bad idea? Thank you in advance.

How many words is it?

In general, If it’s within the limit it’s fine. Your goal is to write an essay that is engaging enough that they won’t mind reading all the way through.

@Autumnal after doing some revisions now its at 1373 words

103/120 lines I want to get a statement from someone who has maybe submitted something like that through ApplyTexas, or has heard of anyone doing so.
