If accepted I would love to meet you. It would be great to meet some people who have helped guide and to be able to say thank you. If accepted I think I have some thank you's in admissions as well for putting up with my calls for three months! :):):)

Last message I received from my Area Coordinator stated that DODMERB is, at this point in the application process, (remember they are reviewing medicals for ALL academies and ROTC candidates) taking 30+ days to review initial exams.
That is why we counsel our candidates to get the medical out of the way ASAP so that any additional consultations can be taken care of in a timely manner.
DODMERB is one of the biggest snags in the application process to any academy or ROTC scholarship.
Hope this info is of some use to you...just sit tight, and jump on any follow-ups they request from you.

Yeah all of my initial is taken care of and now i just have a urinalysis so that why i was wondering if they just jumped the remedials to the front to get them out of the way or if it had to start over. Because as I've stated before i want my file in for review as much as possible.

My son took his DodMerb physcial mid July 06, by the time we sent in all the additional information they requested, yada, yada, yada, it ended up taking about 4 months for the whole process. He got is final "qualified" status in mid October 06. Now he's just waiting on his "alternate" candidate status to be changed to "appointment!" Best of Luck to you. DodMerb can be a pain, but hang in there.

My file goes in for review on Friday and i have an interview on Thursday(today) Hopefully all goes well and i get good news soon. I am still DQ'd till i get a urinalysis test and my collarbone cleared but apparently they are gonna go through with it anyways. Also, I was talking to a lady in admissions and she seemed to let it slip that I was finalist when i was trying to schedule an interview. Is that just the wording for a candidate who is deemed to meet the minimum requirements therefore getting an interview as I suspect or am I reading into things too much and trying to find good news where their is none yet? :):)

Good Luck with ur interview. Who did you have it with?

I had my interview with LTJG Schuck. I just did it over the phone because they couldn't find an officer to give me an interview before my file went in for review. I have been trying to schedule this interview for over a month and they finally just decided to do it over the phone. Apparently their aren't many coastie units in MT:):):) Who knew?:) Anyways he said i did very well and that my interview is going to help me very much. I also just got off the phone this morning with Coach Grant and he said he just dropped off a letter of recommendation in my file before it goes in for review this afternoon:) and that he would call me when he knew anything.:) So things are looking good. Trying not to get too excited before anything is official....but things look better than they did last week:)

EXCELLENT! Great news especially the result of your interview and letter from Coach Grant! That will really help. I think I'm gonna see you on July 2! :D

I just talked to one of the AO's this morning and he told me that they weren't offering me an appointment yet but that I was being put in the alternate pool. He also told me that with the letter from coach grant that it will help me immensely in the alternate pool:) Hey I'm happy right now. our chances out of the alternate pool are still very good and its a hell of a lot better than the alternative:)

True that. I think we're kind of jumping the gun here. The reviews are just getting going full bore. As the weeks go on more appointments will come out. There may be some as early as March 1st but that is on early side of it.
