<p>I live about 6 hours away, so we were going to have to stay the night before anyways, unless we wanted to leave at like 3 in the morning from my house. Nooo thanks! I just have to see what time they want people who are staying over on the 10th to get there to check if I can go.</p>

<p>We live in southern California, and after my daughter was admitted two years ago we tried to get her to go the the April visiting day since she’d never even been to Colgate before she decided to go there! She declined. I don’t know why, but that was her decision. So, she showed up at the very end of August to attend a college she’d never seen before. But she loves it there. So, don’t think you have to go to the visiting day. It might be useful and give your child a clearer picture of what they’re getting into, but it’s not at all necessary – especially if financial considerations (airfare, etc) matter.</p>
