STARTALK Arabic Language Camp for High School Students
Arabic Language Camps
June 23–July 16
July 21–August 13

Welcome to the study of Arabic at Brigham Young University. Arabic is the language of worship for over a billion Muslims throughout the world and the language of daily communication in the Arabic World, which consists, more or less, of 22 nations of the Middle East and North Africa, as well as of the Arab Diaspora. Because it is used in so many different places, Arabic includes a number of regional as well as stylistic varieties.

The objective of the 2008 BYU Summer Arabic Camp is to assist high school students to acquire at least Intermediate High level proficiency in using both Written and Spoken Arabic through an intensive and inspirational Arabic language program, comparable to the BYU Arabic 101 semester-long 4.0 credit course. Students will be exposed to both Written and Spoken Arabic.

Tuition: $800.00

Scholarships available upon applicant request.

Anyone else doing this?

I'm looking to apply and started my application. I'm wondering what the FA is like, how selective they are, and more information on the accelerated program they offer to 15 or so students.

Sounds like a great opportunity for just $800. Can't beat that price.
