April 1st is a SUNDAY!

April 1st which is the admission notification date for MOST of the colleges/universities out there just happens to fall on a Sunday this year...

Does this mean they'll release notification a day early (March 31th?) or that we'll have to wait until April 2nd to hear from colleges?

Or is this actually a POSTMARK date?

I'm going crazy waiting... one more month...

April first is the date where they release admissions for most private universities. Luckily for many, it will be spring break so students can mourn/celebrate and get all those feelings out before school starts up again

Ivies are March 29th. I suspect most of schools will be on or before.

i guess we are going to have an exciting "april fools day"

Oh, god, that would be awful.

Dear student,
Congratulations - you've been accepted to [college of your choice]!
APRIL FOOL'S!

damn, why did it have to be a Sunday.
All the great pranks are always pulled off at school.....

@Inverted Commas -- OMFG haha xD!

when's stanford?

My D had double indemnity april fools and her bday last year...she was WL hahaha...finally accepted in June.

yeah lol i also thought it would be horrible if someone sent ua rejection letter and sent u an acceptanc elater an hour later saying APRIL FOOLS!

FWIW, All of my daughter's RD acceptances were sent on a Friday; she received them on Monday. (And some people would have received theirs on Saturday.)

everyone take a very deep breath...chill out, you'll find out soon enough!!! good luck to all of you!

Why does it even matter? Just check online. I don't know why so many people are still concerned with the postal service.

i guess i will like to learn about my acceptance the traditional way

Because not all schools post their decisions on line. Only 1 of the 8 that my d applied to posts on line. Everything else is snail mail only.

Good news is worth waiting for!
