April 1st vs. April 9th

On collegeboard.com williams notification date is listed as April 1st, but I'm sure i have seen other sources list it as April 9th. Does anyone know when RD decisions will come? And I assume that they come via snail mail, right?

PS totally unrelated, but if you sent 3 SAT 2 tests will they evaluate your two best scores?

I'm not sure but I received over 750 on History and Lit but under 650 on Math 1C and I was accepted. Williams saw all three scores... maybe they overlooked the math because my math grades in school were decent. I don't have a real answer but I jsut think they evaluate your application hollistically.

To answer your other question, the decision came via snail mail.

Good luck and hope to meet you in Open house!!

Well for early write admittees, they call you before you get your admissions packet...don't know if they do that for RD as well. But the notification date is generally the first week of April...hence the confusion over 1st/9th...I think those are the lower and upper limits for mailing decisions :) good luck!

I'm an early write, but I didn't get a phone call. Maybe that's just because I'm never home. Did anyone get a message on their answering machine? hahaha "upper and lower limits"... don't remind me of the calc homework I've put off for the past month (senioritis has finally hit)

^^ ditto that, I'm never home either lol.

math, urgh! my progress this semester has been regressive...as the months pass, i seem to know less and less.

From the Williams Office of Admissions web site (<a href="http://www.williams.edu/admission/apply_procedures.php%5B/url%5D):">http://www.williams.edu/admission/apply_procedures.php):</a>

"Decision letters are mailed the first week of April."

If its like last year, someone will probably post shortly after the fact when the letters are sent. A word of caution, even domestically, those letters can take a week or more to get to you. We're in the midwest, and my D's letter took 10 or 11 agonizing days.
