ne1 received a reply yet????

no... when is the exact date that williams will notify its ED applicants???

No later than December 15th is all the card said. I'm desperately impatient to receive my deferral/rejection. :(

why are you so pessimistic 714D??? you should hope for the best..

Obviously, I "hoped for the best" when I decided to apply to Williams. But, the hope vanished long ago when I found out about other applicants sending extra evaluations, essays, abstracts...
Stats after decisions are out.

That can also mean that you will know your decision on December 15th. And no, apparently, I was missing nothing.

714D... how did you find out about other applicants sending extra evaluations, essays and stuff???

There was/is a thread around here... something like 'Williams app advices'...frankly, it was painfully discouraging :(

i live overseas, so i'll get an email, right?
we go on break starting th 15th, though, and we might not have internet access! AAAHHH! I hope they send emails earlier!

714nD1, I can understand you.
S2 has almost same stats as yours and is an international applicant living in this country.
He didn't send any extra stuffs either.
Now he suffers from sleepless nights.

714nD1,are an international applicant living in USA?

A student with F1, F2, or J2 status is an international applicant.

No. I'm an international living 'internationally'.

Live internationally?where?

Albania .

I'm absolutely freaking out.. I've managed to keep myself calm until now, but with just a few days to go I'm pretty much dying of stress... and if I don't get into Williams I don't know what I'm going to do with myself. And to top it off I'm currently ridiculously sick thus I've been home for the past week.. and all I can do is think about Williams and keep looking at college confidential.. which is absolutely a curse because I get even more worried every time I look.

:(:(:( I really really really need to get in right now.

Are you an international applicant wildchild02493?

ha no, I am as far from an international applicant as you can get... I'm from eastern massachusetts, about 15 minutes out of Boston... I wonder if the fact that I'm from MA affects my decision at all (either positively or negatively)..

But yea since I'm not allowed to go to school I can't stop worrying about this.. In addition to the fact that when I applied my counselor said he really had no idea whatsoever whether or not I had a shot, because no one from my school has gotten in since 2004, even though we are one of the best schools in the state... Thus I can't tell through Naviance whether my GPA (coming from my school) is really what I would need.

Wildchild, to help relieve your stress a tid bit, I can safely say that when I visited Williams College, there was a suprising amount of people from Mass. Not only that, most of them were from the Boston/ Williamstown area. So don't put yourself in dismay just because you are from that area

it's really strange that a best school in MA has no one gotten in Williams since 2004!!
