<p>Whats up with NYU saying that decisions would come out April 1st and yet a bunch of people I know have already received their decisions?</p>

<p>Well, right now special invites are being sent out now called Sundat at the Square. On the invitation it says its for admitted students for the class of 2011, that's how we know we've been admitted.</p>
<p>Some people say they got official things though. Like in RD Decisions thread, people know whether or not they are in to Steinhardt, CAS, or Stern.</p>
<p>I applied to Tisch, and I think I'm going to scream.</p>
<p>No official acceptance packages have gone out for Regular Decision applicants. If you've received a Sunday in the Square invitation, you are in but other than that, no one has heard.</p>

<p>well...i live in CA and I got mine on saturday...but i dont think that if you did nt get the card it doesnt mean that you are not admitted...so dont panic yet!</p>

<p>Receiving the invite also depends on what school within NYU you applied to.</p>

<p>My Sunday in the Square invite arrived yesterday (I'm in CA) and was postmarked the 7th. Hope that helps.</p>

<p>The people who received some sort of scholarship got a letter telling them that they're a scholarship recipient and they're invited to a weekend program at NYU. The official admissions decisions for everyone else will arrive on or around April 1st. </p>
<p>As for knowing what NYU school you were admitted into, here is the 1st line from the letter I received. It should clarify things:</p>
<p>"Congratulations! You have been selected as a Lewis Rudin City Scholar in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University."</p>
<p>If you got into CAS, it would say CAS; If you got into Stern, it would say Stern; etc.</p>
<p>Hi, I didn't receive a "Sunday at the Square" invitation, but I did receive an invitation to attend a reception for the College of Arts and Science. Does this mean that I got in or is it just something that everyone in the CAS program got? It says its for students admitted to the class 0f 2011 but I don't want to get my hopes up.</p>

<p>Without hearing about financial aid, it's not worth a trip to NY from Maine to attend a reception.</p>
