all of the above, i believe

oh eric your ways of pleasurement are endless and insatiable.

i wish they would pay for my plane ticket. hahaha that d be pretty sweet... schmehhh

yeah, they're paying for my entire trip as well (food, flight...etc) I'll be there, all alone too. But I'll make the best of the situation and quickly find a group of friends to join.

So, make sure to look out for me if I happen to pop into your conversation..

(man I sound needy...lol)

Just how much will we get to talk with UofC students?

I'm guessing as much as we want...I overnighted at Reed a couple nights ago and I met probably 20 or 30 students who had a lot to tell me about/chat about. I'm definitely looking forward to meeting everyone I see!

is anyone else coming out from boston?

how about cleveland?

CC get together?

why not? It'll be cool to meet one another

hells yeah cc get together. and then we can storm ida noyes.

im flying into chi-city at 7:30am on the 20th.

Reading the April 10-11 thread has been a little disheartening, I was wondering what your (those who have not yet visited) reactions were to their negative comments -- if you have read those threads.

i visited on 10/11.

don't be disheartened. the partying wasn't bad. the people and the atmosphere was a lot more fun than the stuff they have planned for you during the day.

i suggest getting a buddy and staying away from their programs during the day and just wander the campus. talk to students. get coffee from the divinity school coffee shop. eat at the business school. if you have friends that are students there, give them a call.

overall i would say that the admin gave us prospies a boring day but a fabulous night with the students.

I've already decided that I'm going to Chicago -- and just want my love to be reinforced ... that's all.

(... I can't stay overnight because of an early flight the next morning, but it doesn't matter that much because I've already decided to go there)

I'm going; I guess I'll see you all there!

I'm going as well, although I'm not looking forward to it at all.....I've seen everything that there is to see on campus, yet my 'rents are still dragging me to it..meh

Here is an event some might be interested in attending while on campus:

Seeking to promote greater understanding between cultures and to learn more about American views of his country, Prince Turki Al-Faisal, the new Saudi Ambassador to the United States, will visit the University later this month, as a guest of the Irving B. Harris School of Public Policy Studies.

His one-hour talk, entitled A Reflection on My First 100 Days as Ambassador, is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, April 21, at the Oriental Institute. Those interested in attending should register at http://harrisschool.uchicago.edu/events/rsvp-dev042106.asp

I'm going to be there on the 20th, doing an overnight and all that... I hope I get to meet some of you! Let's go clubbing in Chicago! I'm sure there are parties on Thursday. :-/

I don't know about you guys, but I'm more interested in exploring the city rather than the university.

im going to the 20-21 visit and i have no idea what to expect. in real life away from CC and such im really introverted and not really the type to strike up a convo. -_- so im kind of nervous that i'll be too boring for my host.
ive been reading stuff on the 10-11 overnite ... so do we just randomly leave our hosts and randomly hang out with other prospies? and meet with our hosts later in the night or something? i think it'd be awkward to just "ditch " my host or something (unless my host ditches me first lol)
and how long are the classes? i really hope idont fall asleep in class. i do that often in school.
i was planning on following the basic "tentative itenirary" thing online... hm iono.
im just worrying about 200 things at once in addition to my calculus final exam tomorrow.
go me for trying to cram 1 year's worth of calculus in one night. screwed! :)

Classes are 50 min. I think that is pretty standard.
