Still says registered.
@desie1 On all of my practice tests before taking the ACT for the first time, I had been getting around 33-34 on science. On the real thing though, I completely mismanaged my time and had to guess on the last 6 or 7 questions. So I just practiced taking timed science sections until I was able to finish comfortably, and it was much easier for me this time around!
I took it as a sophomore and got a 24 and took it last Saturday and got
C 25
E 23
M 29
R 24
S 25
How the heck do I improve to like a 29 or 30?
Still registered in Dubai
Very jealous of all of you who already have your scores! My friend texted me at 2 am complaining about hers but I’m still on registered. Congrats everyone- looks like everyone got great scores!
One way is lots of practice tests…we bought a couple of books then were surprised to see so many at the library–we checked out about 8 books with practice tests and S took them ALL, and went over all his answers.I think he did about 15 full practice tests in February and March, and segments of his weaker subjects in April. Got E up by 9 points, S by 6. Everybody studies differently, but that worked for him…(he was in such a bad mood during test prep I am SO glad he got a 35 and is done–although he claims he wants to try for a 36…nuts)
For people who got their scores - did you get an email saying they were ready?
Anyone from an International test centre get their scores yet?? :-?
Still Registered, not international.
can anyone shed light on the curves? especially science haha, and math would be helpful too
If I have a Usage/Mechanics of 18 but a Rhetorical Skills of 17, yet I still got a 36 on English, does that mean -1 was a 36? I’m kinda confused.
I’m still “registered”. When I took the September 2014 ACT, I didn’t receive my scores until ~1 PM EST.
@lantyr I got a 35 in Math and I really didn’t think I missed any so it was probably -0 or -1 (probably doesn’t help haha). Science was probably -0, although people were freaking out about it so I don’t know, and I also didn’t think I missed any. English was probably lenient because I got a 35 and guessed on 3 or 4, and Reading I’m guessing was very lenient because I somehow got a 36 and guessed on at least 1.
So I think it was probably Math -0
Reading -2
English -1
Science -1 (no clue)
Although, what do I know lol, I was very surprised to do so well. Congrats to everyone who took it, and good luck to anyone taking it in June.
Agree with @taishi. I got a 35 on English and believe I missed up to 3 questions so that was probably quite lenient. 33 on math and I would say I had around 5 wrong which seems pretty standard. Reading I had a 36 and I am nearly positive I got one wrong, and science I got a 30 and think I missed between 5 and 7. Overall I think the curves were quite fair.
@taishi I thought I was going to get a 36 in Math and all of my answers were right from what people were saying on the Google Doc discussion, but I got a 35 so I agree it was probably -0. I must’ve made a stupid mistake on an easy problem
Did any of you pay to get the test back so you can see which ones you may have missed? Worth it for $20.
Anyone get an email yet or know when they’ll go out?
science curve must have been pretty generous, unless i had a couple of lucky guesses, because i thought i got like at least 5-6 wrong and still got a 31 on science
@Nestle99 How do I do that? I tried to copy/paste into the reply box and it didn’t work. I’m guessing you don’t believe me?
@CBeal23 no…I believe you… I just wanted to know how the scores look like. I’m dying of anxiety waiting for mine
