Science is about comprehending data, quickly. Some people arent good at being rushed. It is tough to base someone on their ACT, because there are many intelligent/"smart" students who cant be rushed, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

The science section is feasible without a strong background in science, but it helps enormously. If you have to read through all the background information, you will almost definitely NOT finish. But if you can just glance at the data/figures and correctly infer what the experient is about, you can dive right into the questions (what I did). Unfortunately, though, that kind of understanding has to come through a few years of experience; it can't be learned in preparation. I've taken bio H, chem H, physics H, AP bio, AP chem, and AP enviro, so all the experiments made sense to me. Well, the deer tick data was fuzzy at first but once I got the hang of it the questions (except one) were common sense.

I thought science was incredibly easy. Reading was the toughest. I'm hoping to pull out a 35, with a 34 English, 36 Math, 36 Math, 35-36 Reading.

English- the EASY section
Math- not taht hard but I ran out of time
Reading- I didn't think it was hard, pretty straightforward
Science- The HARD section ran out of time

BTW
What was your "method" for the science section?

English/Math -Easy

Reading-Harder
Science-Hardest, I didn't run out of time but I wasn't sure of some of my answers.

I didn't find the science much harder than the practice tests. But that's probably because I got lucky in that three of the passages were right up my interest ally. (The Lyme disease, electronics, and astronomy passages) I never took any science in high school (long story), so that's generally not my strong point on the practice tests.

I'm hoping the fact that I had an easier time with it than most is going to be my saving grace because of the curve, since I know I bombed out on the reading and didn't do too great on the math either.

Hmmmm I'm really different from everyone else
English: What I expected (and then some) to me the English section is the surprise package
Reading: I first spent 12 minutes on the first section and then I realized before coming into the test I told myself to take the reading section in the order of 2-3-4-1 (t.t me) I didn't finish in time...but the questions themselves were easy
Math: Harder than I expected...usually I finish in 40 minutes and have 20 minutes to check them over...on this one I finished on the 54 minute mark with only 6 minutes to check my answers
Science: I found this section somewhat easy and finished in 38 minutes

Just my two cents though.
