Take the blue line into the city. Get off downtown, walk a bit, and switch to the 6 bus.

I have no idea what the hell that meant… But I’ll take your word for it, thanks alot! I should get used to those kind of directions.

It must be nice to live in a city with decent public transit. LA is all sprawl, a devilish contraption designed to scare pedestrians.

Go to the Chicago Transit website and you’ll find plenty of information. We are from an urban sprawl/buses only go where you don’t want to go/beyond scaring the pedestrians area and found public transportation in the Chicago area excellent.

I wouldn’t praise Chicago’s transportation that quickly (I live there by the way). And it will most likely be improved only if the Olympics is coming in 1016.

The only way I know back from O’Hare takes you to the beej…but here it is: Take the blue line to the loop, get off at monroe/dearborn, walk east 1 block to state street, take the 6 bus (which stops at every other block on state street) headed south, ride the 6 to 60th/stony island and walk directly west on 60th - you’ll end up in front of beej after walking for a while.

It’s all in the eye of the beholder. You need to be subjected to bad public transportation in order to appreciate the ones that work well.

@J’adoube: totally agree. the providence public transportation system is…pretty horrible. i live a 10 minute drive from downtown providence, but the bus routes are so sparse and confusing that it’s not even worth it to try to catch the bus downtown.
