hey, i just wanted to ask, can you get denied by a med. university if you have a 4/5 ap score for ap euro history but for the marking period grades you have a C+? will that hurt?? [because i got two c's, and two a's] and do colleges look more at gpa or do they look at individual grades as well?

I think the colleges only look for the Final grade. Meaning the average of all four marking periods, plus the mid-term and the final.

I?m very worried about my preparation for the AP exam. I?m in tenth grade and taking some AP courses, but I start to think: What if after all these years of Pre-AP courses, all this preparation, I fail the AP exam? Would all those years go to waste?

dont think that way at all
if you think that way, you'll end up getting a 1/2 even before you tried

thanks but wis3ly, if my final grade is a b+ will that be acceptable?
or is that bad for ap european history?

if your final grade is a b+ and you do well enough ont he test (4 or 5) it shouldn't hurt nearly as bad as it would if you got a b in the course and didn't take the test.

hey i have the same problem.
im also planning to apply to a medical school, and currently taking 3 ap's (calc ab, chem, psychology).. i've been preparing well for the ap exams but my grades are low in those classes. we just took a practice ap test today and i did pretty well. if i do well on the ap exams and send my scores to the college, my grade in the class will affect my gpa in college (assuming that i have an A average in college) ... now im so confused about taking the tests... should i even take those ap exams or should i just retake the classes next year in college so that i can get a better grade?

@ballin4ever: B+ is pretty good, I mean it is an AP class. If you do well on the AP test, say a 4 or 5, you'll be good.

@ergin: If you're doing well on the practice tests, why not take the actual test? Just give it a try and you don't HAVE to send the scores in.
