If I already took the SAT Subject Test (eg. Biology), is it recommended that I do AP (Biology) too?

I took Biology, Chemistry and Physics SAT2.
In your opinion, should I take those three for APs as well?

I see a lot of people taking both SAT2 and AP tests for the same subject.
I understand that SATs help more for the application process and APs are more for after getting accepted (credits, etc.).

Side note: I'm also taking other APs
(U.S Government, Comparative Government, Statistics, etc.).

Well, you should take APs as much as you can regardless of what SAT IIs you’ve taken. If you have a limit to the number of APs then yes, you should take those APs you’ve named, but the two are going to be different in difficulty, not too much in format (except for the FRQs and written stuff). For example, the SAT II Chem was much easier than the AP even considering that the AP was curved more.

I think I will take them. Since I already know majority of it, I’ll brush up on the other areas.

One more thing:
Does it make a difference to colleges if your AP was self-studied or you took a course for it?
Because my school does not offer any AP classes/courses and I plan to self-study them.
How will this affect my chances? Will it hurt them?

I would suggest not taking Physics C unless you’re very adept at applying calculus to physics.

It really depends on your subject combination because I can tell you that the subjects offered in the school you’re attending are WAY harder than the AP classes.
