I am going to be a junior next year and am in the process of choosing my schedule.

The AP's I'm recommended/signed up for currently are:
AP US History
AP English Language and Composition
AP Calc BC
AP Physics 1
AP Psychology

Currently as a sophomore, I am taking these core classes:
Honors English - I consistently receive solid A's
Honors World History - solid A
Accelerated Pre-Calculus (a level above Honors) - range from B+ to A-
Honors Chem - solid A to A+

I was starting to think that 5 AP's might be a little overwhelming, so I was thinking of changing it to 4.
I wanted to take both AP Chem and AP Bio at some point in high school (because I am looking into the health field as a possibility in the future), and as I am currently taking Chem H, it would make most sense to take AP Chem next year. In that case, I would want to switch AP Psychology with AP Chem. I would also want to switch AP Calc BC to AP Calc AB in order to lessen the overall work load.

If I made these changes, it would turn out to be:
APUSH
AP Lang
AP Calc AB
AP Physics 1
AP Chem

Both AP English Language and Composition and AP Physics 1 are new classes next year. I am slightly worried about AP Lang being new, because the teacher may be inexperienced and the class may be unorganized. However, I'm not as worried about AP Physics 1 because it teaches only half a semester of college credit (the first half of AP Physics B), so it should not be as rigorous as some other APs.

Because I wanted to switch AP Chem for AP Psych, I feel I need to get rid of either APUSH or AP Language and take either Honors History/Honors English.

Any insight on the work load of 4-5 AP's? How important is it to take AP Chem and AP Bio in high school if looking into a career in medicine? Should I drop APUSH or AP Lang? Any overall insight?

Thank you!
