Scheduling for Next School Year

Hi, this is actually my first post!

I know that it is a bit early to think about scheduling for next school year at this point. However, I have already been considering some of my options; here is my current plan for junior year:

AP Calculus BC
AP Chemistry
AP Physics 1 (to be offered as a year-long course for the first time)
AP Environmental Science
AP Psychology (first semester)/Computer Programming (second semester)
English 11
Orchestra

Does this workload appear to be too rigorous, in your opinion? Should I drop one of the AP classes for a study hall?

Currently, I am able to maintain good grades in all my classes and also keep involved in several extracurricular activities. Any thoughts on the classes above (based on your personal experiences, if you took them) will also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much in advance! I will be grateful for any help.

I would recommend switching English 11 to Ap english 11 and switching physics 1 to ap physics C.

Thanks for your thoughts. However, my only worry is that the classes for next year will be too much of a “jump” from my classes this year. Currently, I am taking only one AP class, which is APUSH; the rest are all honors, with the exception of orchestra. This includes Honors Physics and Honors English.

I plan to go the pre-medical route in college, and I heard that AP Physics C is recommended mainly to those pursuing engineering? Do you know anything more about this class and have any brief tips on it? If so, that will be great.

As for AP English, I am considering AP Literature and Composition. I just hope it proves to be not too much of a burden.

At any rate, I will take your suggestions into consideration. I will also talk with my guidance counselor and find out the expected workload for these classes at my school.

AP Physics B over 2 years would be beyond easy and extremely boring; if pre-med is the route you’re taking AP Physics C probably wouldn’t be all that beneficial, but it’d probably be more fun (although it’d also be a good bit harder).

AP Enviro and AP Psychology are considered to be extremely easy. Personally, I self studied AP Enviro in a couple of days and made a 4 (should have worked harder so I would have gotten a 5).

AP Calc BC shouldn’t be too bad; I’m in AP Calc AB, and its very easy.

AP Chem I heard is hard, but Its a class that would be good for you to take, so keep it no matter what.

AP English Lit can be extremely hard or really easy depending on your teacher. My teacher falls under the really easy, we’ve only written 3 essays (excluding the practice AP test) and have only read 2 books. If you have an easy teacher I’d take it;

@Patton370 - I appreciate your suggestions.

Also, are you currently enrolled in AP Physics C, or have you already taken it? I wonder what the expected workload is for the class - like how many hours of homework and studying every night? I know that this varies throughout schools since teachers have different expectations, but I just want a general idea.
