AP's?

So...exactly what do AP's do for you at Wellesley? Do you get credit, do you pass out of classes...what? posts an hour before Certain Doom on AP Euro test

You'll get credit toward your diploma, but the tests will not exempt you from any distribution requirements. Whether or not the tests will allow you to pass out of a class depends on the department. You should get a whole run-down on AP credits during orientation; and, if you miss that information, your class dean (a wonderful resource at all times) and department chair will help you figure out what your AP's can do for you.

and you only get credit for fives

Here's the information from the Wellesley site about credits for AP/IB classes:

Basically, you'll need a 5 on an AP test (with the exception of Calculus BC -- you only need a 4 or 5) to recieve credit. Plus, you have a limit of earning 4 credits through AP/IB testing. Each 5 on a test earns you one credit, and a 4 or 5 on the Calculus BC test grants you two credits.
