APUSH Myth?

One of my classmates said that Collegeboard is changing the format of the AP test so that there are only 4 choices for each MC question.

But I just looked up the Fall 2010 Collegeboard Course Description, and the sample questions all have 5 choices. Is my classmate just BSing?

Yes, your classmate is misinformed.

Does anybody know what percentage of apush MC is generally “good enough” to get a 5?

58 MC and really good essays will get you a five.

You don’t have to do perfect on both. It can be lopsided

I wish. The College Board wants to see that you’re “College material” and that is why they make the tests arduous.

They are changing it to four choices. But it’s for 2012-2013 I think.

^They should not even have changed it in the first place. Now, if what you say is true, there won’t be much of a challenge doing the AP exam.

It’s not like they can just increase the points you need to get certain scores, as the AP wizard would see it as a threat and assume someone is usurping his throne as ruler of collegeboardia.
