<p>I'm taking the alternate exam this Thursday for APUSH this year. First of all, can anyone EDUCATED please tell me....</p>

<p>1) If the alternate exams are actually "harder" like everyone claims..
2) How many points you have to get approximately to get a 5</p>

<p>Also, if someone knows how they grade APUSH, if you could tell me, thanks. Like MC is 80 questions, +1 for each question correct, -0.25 for incorrect, 0 for skip. And essays are out of 9. What do you multiply each of these scores to put it on CollegeBoard's curve?</p>

DBQ by 4
each short answer by 2.75</p>

<p>The alternates are not intentionally harder or easier than the regular ones, according to the CB.</p>
