APUSH Questions

My school doesn’t have AP US History, but everyone takes a course on US history sophomore year and a course on world history (which includes stuff related to this one because obviously things overlap) so I’m mainly self-studying through Amsco. Would that be enough to get me a good grade? Should I get something else? And also how important is it knowing dates? I’m horrible with those

Amsco is very good. You should supplement it with the AP US History Crash Course book. In addition, be sure to use the resources at AP Central. Questions do not ask for specific dates. However, you do have to know periods of time. For example, here is how a typical free-response question uses dates: How did economic, geographic, and social factors encourage the growth of slavery as an important part of the economy of the southern colonies between 1607 and 1775?

Thanks so much!
