Hi!
I was just wondering if you guys thought which one is better: AMSCO or PR? I have both currently. And I have not started studying yet (yes I am screwed, I know). So I was wondering, which one is the easiest to read while still providing the necessary information? And which one do you think I can finish in 2 weeks? I want to leave the last week to take practice exams and write practice essays.

Never used PR before, but AMSCO is amazing. It's content is amazingly written, it has DBQ/Essay/MC choice at the end of each chapter, and at the end of the book is a practice exam. Can't go wrong with AMSCO!

Thank you so much! Do you think it is feasible (sp?) to read in 2 weeks?

bump! anybody else?

There are 30 chapters, and each is 20-30 pages long. The best thing to do would be two chapters a day, which is still a lot, but I guess it's possible.

i used and loved AMSCO for APUSH and really, it covers everything. in two weeks? that'll be hard and you'll have to be very dedicated in your reading. it's basically a mini-textbook. but if you're hoping to do well on the exam, it's necessary and definitely worth it. good luck!

thank you for your advice!
i'm still wondering about princetons review. has anybody read that?

I taught myself APUSH out of AMSCO and got a 5. I read PR the night before the test nervously and it seemed like a really quick review of the information. I would say if you had a really good teacher and just want to jog your memory on a few things, I guess PR would be good.
