APUSH was bad...

omg SAT II tests so much more specific stuff, im not sure how im going to memorize all this..wow this is terrible..

i think sat ii will be easier

So you guys are all thinking about reviewing tonight? I wasn't planning on doing that at all, but I guess now I should. ;x

wait for question 5, could you have talked about the black movement- martin luther king and earl warren's "brown vs board of ed"
And for youth..talk about the start of protests SDS, berkely, kent state, and other stuff?
Cause there wasnt alot of stuff that occured in the 1950s, but more in 1960s.

madamebovary, I talked about SDS, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and Betty Friedan. They were all most effective in the 1960s but gained momentum in 1950s, right?

I talked about SDS (Kent State...dunno if it fit) and Rosa Parks and sit ins etc

i assume so ... whatever the test is over...finally
my teahcer was such a easy teacher and gave half of the classes A's in APush. However he never prepared us well for the AP test.

pooh pooh the DBQ was so unexpected.......

MC was different from the practice I had. Practices was a swath of easy questions followed by a pack of difficult ones. This exam seemed more a balanced medium level throughout. I didn't omit any, apparently our school teaches a different strategy than most.

DBQ: Hated it, but it wasn't too hard. Also, not an area my teacher focused on much.

FRQs: Chose 2 and 4. Easy as hell.

was the railroad boom for question 3 too far fetched?--

i loved the dbq. my teacher is the biggest feminist, and half of the course was on women's roles in us history.

Rosa Parks was 1955 and SDS was founded in 59, so that's good but Kent State Riots were in 1970 and the greensboro sit-ins were in 1960. No offense to y'all but if they gave you a good score for talking about 1960's things then I will be kind of mad... Couldn't that possibly affect your score like whoa if you focus your essay on the wrong decade like that?

I thought the test was hard (not all that) but hard. The first few qs of the multiple choice, I thought was quite hard but I think it was more to do with my nerves. Now that I think of it I think I did quite well but keeping my fingers crossed and not jinxing myself.
DBQ at first i thought OMG. I didn't know much women's rights and such but the documents led me on. I wrote 2 1/2 pages.
I aswered #2 of part B. Had so much to write about on reconstruction. I wrote about Railroads too. wrote 2 1/2 pages.
I answered #4 (probably the only one). I knew so much about that era because for some reason it interested me. again wrote 2 1/2 pages.
My organization was pretty good and thesis were also fine. hoping for a 5 but seeing you guys doing so well I think I got like a 2.

I skipped 9 multiple choice, but I didn't guess on anything. I narrowed about 4-5 questions to two answer choices, but I didn't guess for fear of bringing down my score. However, I'm pretty confident I did okay on the multiple choice. I don't think I missed more 7-8, and at worst that brings me down to the 60/80 range.

The essays were all right. I didn't think the DBQ was as hard as people claimed it was.

Overall, the test was okay. Hoping for a 5!

i thought the DBQ sucked...... such a vague topic..... pretty much bsed all of it.

took a practice SAT II U.S. History --> 660.....

grr, I would prefer a 700+........

Well how bad of a score could they've given me if I had 1/2 of the question right for one of the FR?

the curve is very lenient, but i am sitll worried about not getting a 5.

What does the curve look like? For previous exams that is.

little off topic, but is anyone else doing this: im in ap bio and in ap us and so taking/took those, and im taking sat2s in both those subjects this sat as well. its like an ap us on friday, and sat2 us & sat 2 bio on saturday, and ap bio on monday sandwich. im just studying like mad in both those subjects to get it all over with in a condensed amount of time. i think it's a pretty ill time saving "strat"

yeah i took ap calc wed and apus fri and have ap chem wed and am taking us, IIC, chem sat II's tomorrow.
