Arabic classes

Hey..I wanted to take Arabic classes and would appreciate it if you guys could recommend Tutors or University programs for that matter in NYC area or preferably in Connecticut since I live near New Haven. I tried ressearching but yale offers classes only in the morning which would conflict with my school timings.

Thanks much.

Nice, Arabic! Thats on my list of languages I want to learn, behind Chinese and Hebrew. I would refer you to my grandfather but unless you want to take a 12 hour flight to Israel every morning I guess that wont help.

I also live in Connecticut so any reponses to this question would be helpful for myself also. Good luck with your search!

I know how to read and write.. I just need to improve my conversational skills and brush up on my writing skills since I havent touched arabic for quite some time now so a tutor with whom I could have regular conversation would suffice I guess...

Btw A-san, if you live aruond storrs, UCONN offers arabic classes..

I dont know where storrs is, lol, but I do live in the New Haven County and I do have a Uconn branch, so I might consider it! :)

Are you Arabic by heritage or do you just have an interest in it?

I was born and brought in the middle east although i'm Indian by heritage. I like arabic and I figured since I already know how to read and write, I'm better off spending some time to improve my conversational skills too so that I could talk fluently.

Storrs is in Northeast Connecticut ( 20 min from Hartford )
