Dude.. Its a beautiful world out there! Explore! Dont waste excessive time on an online forum for colleges

That is so true. :D

it's not like there's anything to do. Al Ain is boring and I can't go to a mall at 10 or 11 AM. I just stay on here and eat all day.

Read books, play soccer,etc.. There's lots to do...Or, Go to AL AIN FUN CITY! :D:D:D The Fun City used to be such a big attraction for kids ten years ago.. Its sad that its been dwarfed by Wild Wadi and other parks..

If you are above 18 and drive, go to Abu Dhabih with a few friends.. Spend a day there ( its a boring city, I admit ).. Then return on the Abu Dhabi - Al-Ain highway which, oh btw, has a 160 km/hr speed limit! Cruise at 170 km/hr legally while listening to the song "Move Bi***".... And if you are really in a reckless mood, flash your lights like the other locals... THe stuff you can do in UAE...Amazing! ;)

LOL! So true.. I still get fascinated when I read Gulf News online and see a full article on how it rained the previous day :)

Hey superwizard, ur from Stanford?...Nice...which yr?....Howz the environment there??(I know that nature is already bestowing things there)..Any other information u consider necessary for us to know, plz do so.....
Also, How was ur ''first'' day like???

[/QUOTE]

I'm not exactly from Stanford but I do live there now lol! I'm actually a freshman. If by enviroment you mean natural enviroment it's pretty good though personally for a UAEer it's too cold at night (you have to wear a jacket at night) in the 'winter'. My first day was pretty cool. I came with my dad and I got to know my roomate (a cool guy) and a bunch of other people. The first few days were really busy with all these events which were pretty fun. If you want to know anything sepcific just ask :)

Ah I miss Al Ain! I know it seems boring and dull but with your friends it can be a really nice place to chill.

In a country where it rains one day a year it would be typical of people to make a big deal out of it. I mean, floods in the desert are worth talking about if you don't see rain all year.

I'm really just visiting my dad here so I don't really know anyone, so I don't go out with people. I usually go out with my brother or just alone. But one time I was so desperate that I went to a mall with my mom!

Is it just me or are all the streets in this city identical? I was walking around the other day and got completely lost! All the streets are lined from begining to end with palm trees and I couldn't tell them apart.
The only way I managed to get home was because I recognized the things in the middle of the R/As. Like the Pearl box, the globe stick, the fountain, the tea pot, etc...

I also got lost a few days ago. The weather was okay so I decided to walk to Al Ain mall. I took a wrong turn and....found myself in OMAN!!

wow. I just read through this entire thread. It's really just an endless parade of incoherant and unrelated sentences. Amazing how it lasted so long!

I'm so hungry.

and obviously very bored.

No, I wasn't, really.

I love my classes this semester.

as do I. Well...not really.

Hahaha Al Ain isn't exactly the best of places to go to have fun. Al Ain mall is very close to Buraimi so that's you wound up there. The streets do look pretty identical but if you live there you'd be able to tell them apart by the stores they have :)
Oh and yeah this is one of the wierdest threads I've ever seen

I have noo idea why I'm doing this but...
Bump!

There's a huge mall opening here.. It's supposed to be the biggest in the Gulf. I'm quite excited.

isn't Ibn Batuta mall in dubai the "biggest in the gulf"? it says so on the website...

Enn -- you live in Kuwait? I still remember when they opened the Sharq mall, whoa.

^ you lived in Kuwait?

@stuck-on-1700: Nah. I think 'Mall of the Emirates' is the biggest in Dubai.

Yes, I did live in Kuwait. 1997-2001.
