Arabs

^Yeah. Don't worry I'm sure You'll do just fine :D

why do i have to be stuck here forever?? I want to go to the US!!! but unfortunatly my parents think that traveling for college would do something to my morals or some other crap they came up with. si i'll just have to settle for a uni here in Alexandria. (if I'm really lucky I'll go to the AUC) Amerian University of Cairo.

Yeah, born, bred and living in an Arab country (Kuwait). Well, most of my life anyway.

weren't you living in the US before? at least you lived there for a while lol

As a kid, yeah. New Orleans for a bit.

What? You were searched before entering the plane just because you looked Arab?

OMG!

Well, lucky for the seats though :D

well, life sucks and nothing will ever change it.

^ Boo-hoo. =p

Actually, I was watching CNN and they were talking about how now it's really okay to search people just because they look like 'terrorists' (read: Arabs/Muslims).

well, whatever you say.

I've made it a life long habbit not to discuss politics on an online forum lol. who cares anyway, it'll all blow over in a certury or two.

lol

I have a quite dark complexion - not that I care much about it - but whenever people look at me with a prejudice-minded eye I purposely behave in a way to scare them :D
That can be fun sometimes!

that never happens around me. I' harmless and people can see it. lol

My friend's from Morocco and she speaks Arabic does that count? She just moved here last year, she speaks French, Arabic, Arabic-Moroccan?, and English. She's going for the local Philly schools- Upenn, Temple, community colleges, etc.

Morocco is an Arab country. so i guess it counts lol.

Morocco does count. Except I can never understand anything they say.. their accent is totally weird.

which is why most Morroccans use a more common dialect when they speak to people on TV, so people can understand.

Morroco definitely counts. Yeah I don't understand a word morrocan's say either. I definitely don't look very arabic. I'm really white and I have light brown hair but we'll see in a few weeks if they recognize I'm arabic...

I think the Morroccan dialect is Frenchy. I mean, after that really long French occupation of Alegeria and the surrounding countries..they must have taken that fro them..at the very least. lol

No one can ever place where I'm from. When people meet me, they sort of make a game out of guessing where I'm from -- which I find hilarious. But yeah, I look different. And I don't have any sort of accent, so I could easily pass for American.

people mistake me for Sudanese. I have no idea why???

You're dark-skinned, maybe?
