Hello, I am a current undergrad engineering student at a community college. I have talked to my engineering design teacher about this question: what is the difference between majoring in architectural engineering and double majoring in civil engineering + architecture? Aren't they literally the same thing? I need an answer, because I am considering transferring to a bigger institution, with some of the institutions offering architectural engineering and others offering civil engineering + architecture. I don't know what to do.

Architectural engineering= engineer for buildings (degree focused on engineering with some architectural training/insight)

Architecture + Civil engineering= engineer and architect
