Hello all you in Miami from Spain

I am a student of architecture in Alicante and next february I am coming to UM to finish my final project thank to the agreement between the University of Alicante and UM.

As you can imagine I have plenty of doubts about this experience (the program of the degree, the accommodation, the city... everything will be new for me). I would love to find anyone who studies architecture or whatever in UM, to let me know, before arriving, some typs. you know.

You know that it is always comforting to have a group of "native" friends before coming to a different place.

Thank you very much!!!

My S is actually studying in Spain this summer through a UMiami program with the Universidad de Cantabria! He is studying art history and really enjoying the experience. The only area that is a bit bothersome is the language barrier. He has had 3 college semesters of Spanish, but is still struggling a bit to understand people, including his host family. You seem to have a great command of English, so that shouldn't be an issue for you.

I have heard very good things about the architecture program and they opened the great new Architecture Center this year. I'm sure you've probably already seen this, but her's a link to the arch website. http://www.arc.miami.edu/ There is so much to do at UM, I think you will love the experience. Where will you be living?
