Architecture Grad Schools? Ivy for arch with a bach. from GT?

I’m starting my undergraduate degree in architecture at Georgia Tech this year. I’ve noticed that, for grad school, most of the top schools are Ivy. I wanted to know where I stand, I guess. I was mainly wondering:
-How good employers and grad schools consider GT’s program to be
-If going to an Ivy for grad school after attending GT is plausible or not
-If there are any other grad schools I should consider

Stats:
I think my stats are relatively mediocre. I didn’t apply to any Ivy schools this year because I felt that I wouldn’t get in. I went to one of the top/most rigorous high schools in the country, but apparently colleges don’t really take that into account.

  • I submitted an art portfolio, which got me into Pratt Institute and a few other really top art schools
  • I made 33 on ACT but I want to retake it sometime in the near future
  • High school GPA was a 3.9 but I’ve taken a few GT courses virtually and anticipate having roughly the same or higher GPA in college.

I took some of my classes at a community college to save money, so I also wonder if that would affect my application negatively in any way.

Top students are top students no matter what university they attend. There was a study that looked at kids that were accepted to ivy schools but chose to attend public schools and how successful their career was. The study found that these students were just as successful as the ivy students. The college didn’t matter. What you study, your major, and who you are (ethic and skill) does matter. Grad schools know this. Be the best “you”.

Anyway, I looked up Gatech’s arch rankings on various sites they are in the top10 or top20 usually. What are you worried about? The QS has them 6th in the US above Stanford and Princeton.

You haven’t even stepped on campus yet and you are concerned about grad school… chill. Make some friends.
