architecture program (undergraduate)

What is the best architecture program (undergraduate)?

BArch
cheap tuition

The Cooper Union has one of the best architecture schools in the country and also gives out full tuition scholarships for all who are admitted.

Well, I’ve been on Vandy’s tours twice, and I’ve seen some rude kids whose obvious 1st choice school is an ivy, and they’ve shown up wearing Harvard or Yale sweatshirts. I don’t know if their statement is to Vandy that “you’re my safety” or if their statement is to their parents that “this is what you get for dragging me to Vandy, Duke, and Emory when I only will consider Ivies.”.

In any case, it’s rude.

BTW…kudos to Vandy for presenting itself so well and providing hospitable tours.

oops…

That got posted to the wrong thread! So sorry…

As for architecture programs…

Texas A&M
Auburn U - cheap tuition for OOS and has merit scholarships…what are your stats?

University of Oregon–state school with a fabulous program. I believe Kansas or Kansas State also has a well regarded program.

What do you mean by…cheap tuition? How much can you afford? Or, should I say…how much have your parents said that they can pay each year?

What is your home state?

What are your stats?

ummm Cornell & Syracuse. No brainer.

OP mentioned cheap tuition. Most top programs are private – like Cornell and Syracuse – but may be beyond OP’s means.

OP,
Ask you question on the Architecture subforum too.

thanks.
I like Cooper Union, but it is very competive.
Cornell is expensive for me. --total cost over $50,000

Virginia Tech.

mandy…

What are your stats?

How much can you afford? (How much can your parents pay each year?)

From this info, we can make more informed recommendations.

University of Cincinnati has a very highly ranked architecture program

Catholic University has a good program.

Virginia Tech
NC State

Inexpensive and great arch programs
