This is what I’m registered for:
-Mechanical physics(with calculus) 4 hrs
-Calculus I 4hrs
-Engineering II 2hrs
-Political science 3hrs
-History 3hrs
-History of rock music 3hrs
The only classes I’m actually worried about are calculus and physics because I know that there’ll be a heavy work load, not to mention how difficult the classes themselves are known to be. As for the other classes, while I doubt they’ll be too rigorous they might be time consuming. So any feedback?
Depends on your study habits and which PoliSci and History classes you’re taking. If they’re “easy,” you should be ok if your study habits/time management is strong.
It depends on the classes, but they don’t look too bad. Physics and calc will be a lot of work, but those are only two classes. The history classes I’m not sure about. Sometimes they require tons of reading and papers which take up a ton of time, and sometimes they’re blow offs.
Since the engineering one is only two credits I’m sure it won’t be too bad.
Try to get the syllabus for each class to get a feel for what is required. The last three classes vary so much by professors and school that it impossible for anybody here to give a good answer. They can be extremely reading and paper intensive. If that plays to your strengths and interests then you might be okay.
Also courses with fun title such as “History of Rock Music” can end up being very intense rigorous courses or fluff. It could go either way.
My question would be, “why are you taking so many hours?” I was one of those students who rushed through college in three years by taking heavy course loads my 2nd and 3rd year. Honestly,I think I would have been better off if I had taken fewer courses and engaged in more extracurricular activities. To resurrect a slightly modified version of an old piece of advise, “College is a journey not a race.” JMO.
