Are 3 B's a 3.9?

.

It’s simple math.If you have 27 A’s, then 3 B’s would be a 3.9. Otherwise, probably not.

Your high school might have instructions on how to calculate your GPA on its web page, or else ask your guidance counselor. Some high schools include gym class and such, some don’t. Some high schools weigh a B+ more than a B-, others weigh all +/- as the same letter grade.

More generally:
B + B + B + A + A + A + A =
3 + 3 + 3 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 25
25 / # of classes (7 in this example) = 25/7 = 3.57 GPA is 3.57 on a 4.0 scale.

if you look up 4.0 grading scale there are several examples. Our school has different grades for A+, A, A- etc. Also each school has its own scale to for weighed grades. Once you know your school’s grading scale it is usually simple math.

Also make sure you are talking about weighed or unweighed gpa.
