Are programs like summer@brown, phillips andover summer, and Harvard SSP hard to get into?

I was wondering because my grades during the first quarter of this year (I am a 9th grader) were terrible. One C (in biology, teacher has phD ) and the rest are B's, B+'s and A's. In middle school I had never gotten anything below an A.

I got accepted into and attend Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST News - Main) so will that help my application at all since it is ranked number 1 in the nation by us news (average SAT score is 2150)?

I went to summer@brown and I got the feeling that admissions weren't too tough. They made it very clear that attending summer@brown wouldn't help you get into brown at all, so keep that in mind as well.

admissions are not difficult at all for Summer@Brown (which I attended last summer), however you would think they were because only really smart kids were there. It was so amazing!

I think that Harvard SSP is a little more selective... but I'm not too sure (no personal experience, however a few of my friends attended)

Harvard SSP is rumored to be more selective than Brown's summer program. Almost all students at both programs are highly motivated and intelligent. The writing programs at Harvard are outstanding as well as demanding. Many students attend Harvard's SSP more than once due to the academic and social experience. The only negative is the lack of air conditioning in the dorms, except, of course, for those with medical conditions such as severe allergies/asthma which require air conditioning. My impression, and I may be totally incorrect, is that financial aid is awarded more generously by Harvard to students who have qualities typically sought by America's most selective colleges and universities. Students praise both programs, Harvard and Brown, as well as Stanford,s summer program for high schoolers. You will make a lot of lasting friendships at these programs.
