Are all IGETC courses UC transferrable?

I took an Ethnic Studies class and am currently taking another Ethnic Studies class at my community college. I talked to my counselor and they said that all IGETC are UC transferable and that the course I took and am taking are UC transferrable. I also showed her the book and it said CSU; however, it had IGETC on it. On the website, it also says CSU. Evergreen Valley College: Social Science, Humanities, Arts & Physical Education

I took Ethnic Studies 10 and am currently taking Ethnic Studies 42. It only says CSU, however, my counselor told me it was UC transferable.

Hey! I attend Evergreen Valley College also. What UC are you looking to transfer to? And btw, I have filed a major complaint to the VP of student affair. They have done a horrible job at counseling students. Only 10 minutes allowed and you can't ask more than 3 questions... BLAH BLAH BLAH!

Anyways, to answer your question, I think as long as you choose the courses listed under IGETC, they are all UC transferable.

I hope they are UC transferable. I am just confused on why it is listed as CSU.

If you can also look at this: ASSIST Report: EVERGRN 08-09 IGETC Course List by Department , it says RMVD S08 for ETH 40 and 42. What does that mean? I checked UC transferable classes such as English 1a: ASSIST Report: EVERGRN 08-09 IGETC Course List by Department and it said RMVD SU00. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you very much.

IGETC has a UC and CSU part. There are a few spots that say CSU only, you don't have to worry about those parts if you are transferring to a UC. All IGETC courses are transferable to a UC. Only the CSU only portions may or may not be transferrable to a UC. However, based on my experience these courses should be transferable to both UCs and CSUs.

Thanks for the response; I was actually quite worried. If all the IGETC courses are UC transferable, I am able to take any of them even if they are in a category I completed already, right? If I finished the IGETC and prerequisites needed for my courses but still need the 60 units to transfer, I am able to take any of the IGETC courses as long as they are listed?

Thank you very much again for helping me with your response!

Just look at assist.org ASSIST Report: EVERGRN 08-09 UC Transfer Course Agreement

"Only 10 minutes allowed and you can't ask more than 3 questions... BLAH BLAH BLAH!"

Thats why you have to make appointment and not just go there in beg of the semester.
