Just curious. I was accepted to LSA in early December and have been getting lots of letters, postcards, etc. from Michigan. Am I alone?

I’ve gotten a few (3 or 4). They are really trying to attract their accepted applicants. I was speaking with an admissions consuleor a few months ago and she said the biggest problems that they’ve had in years past is that students, mainly the high caliber ones (4.0 UW 32+ACT, not me btw) are only applying to Umich as backups and they want to secure these spots better. So I think really it justs comes down to getting more deposits in and having a better control on the incoming freshman class.

They stopped sending me University propaganda after I paid the deposit. They still send me stuff, but only things related to registration, housing, financial aid, etc.

I only got 3 letters so far. O.o guess I’m not special

I paid my deposit right away when I was accepted last year and wondered why I pretty much never heard from them again. I guess that would be why!

I don’t get that much mail just mostly letters about the school but I also got a christmas card from the school too.

^lol, that’s thoughtful of them

I got mail (letters from LSA, office of the michigan president or w/e, etc) for 6 days in a row, but I didn’t get in any in the past week.

I think I’ve received… 2 things from them in the mail?

yeah, i got acceptance from ls&a letter, a letter from mary sue, a welcome package, etc. it’s stopped now.

doesn’t the welcome package suck though? it’s so lacking, just logistical stuff. i expected info on schools and majors, campus life and such. i got a better welcome package from u of m-dearborn!
