Are AP classes alone enough to prepare for the SAT II's?

I'm guessing I'm correct in saying that SAT II's should be taken towards the end of the yr after you've completed an AP course in the test you want to take. Are the SAT II's similar in difficulty/material to their respective AP's? Is it enough to just prepare for the AP test and then take the AP and SAT II, or is separate prep needed for the SAT II?

Depends on the test. The math’s for instance don’t really have anything to do with AP calc or stats, but your high school’s Pre-calc, or even Algebra II to a lesser extent, class should be plenty of preparation if you do well. Other tests, like US History I was surprise at how similar they were to the AP.

^ agreed. AP Calc or stat aren’t really related to SAT II math tests, but for the sciences (bio, chem, physics) and the history subjects (World, US, etc), AP is usually an adequate prep for the SAT II. In those subjects, SAT II tests tend to be easier and cover less material than the respective AP tests.

Not always. Especially, AP calc is not preparation for the SAT Subject Tests in math.

You don’t necessarily need AP foreign language courses to do well on the SAT Language tests. If you are not fluent or if it is not your mother tongue, AP would be recommended.

Despite all of that, the SAT foreign language tests are very rough.
