confused about the SAT II

So, this is just for the SAT II's in general. Are they really hard? I hear people say that you should take them in subjects you are good at to show your strengths, but since there's no corresponding high school course exactly... Like for the AP Tests you take AP classes, and there are SAT prep books/classes to help you prepare.

How do you know what kind of information is going to be on the SAT II's? Do you think I'll be well-prepared if I take the AP class for that subject? Are there prep book specifically for SAT II's?

The one's I'd probably take next year are USH and Chem. I'm taking APUSH and self-studying AP Chem next year. Math Level 2 I'd take beginning of Senior year. Also, I can't take AP English Lit till Senior year but I'm good at Lit, so I might take the English Lit SAT II. I also might decide to self study AP Physics the summer before senior year, so I might take the Physics SAT II at the beginning of Senior year.

Usually, focus on the subjects you’re good at. Things you learn in your AP classes definitely help you out for these SAT II’s. I loved latin and AP world last year and took the SAT II’s without any extra prep. I got 750 latin, 780 world. What subjects are you good at?

Just do the ones that you’re already taking the AP for - you will have a thorough understanding of the material from class and you’re studying for two tests at once.

UNLESSSSSS your teacher specifically says that your class is geared towards the SAT II even if it’s not AP - My Chemistry Honors in 10th grade was like this, it was somewhere between Chem regents (geared towards NY State standardized test - SUPER EASY) and AP Chem. My teacher told us we would be well prepared for the SAT II - and I got a 740 :)
